Best of Germany - 13 days tour                       Group Inquiry

Frankfurt - Rhine Valley - Cologne - Hamburg - Berlin - Dresden - Bayreuth - Nürnberg - Munich - Dachau - Oberammergau - Neuschwanstein - Titisee - Baden-Baden - Heidelberg  

Day 1: Arrival Frankfurt. 
Orientation tour in the city's financial centre and medieval Römerplatz.

Day 2: Frankfurt – Rhine Cruise – Cologne 
Drive to St. Goarshausen where you embark on a relaxing Rhine Cruise. Disembark in Boppard. Travel via Bonn,  Beethoven's birthplace to Cologne. See its gothic Cathedral.

Day 3: Cologne – Hamburg 
Continue to Hamburg. On our arrival we suggest a cruise on the harbour? Later, an orientation tour of the city shows you the major points of interest including the inner Alster Lake.

Day 4: Hamburg – Berlin (2 nights) 
This morning leave Hamburg to travel on the 'autobahn' following the valley of the River Elbe crossing the former 'Iron Curtain' to the historic city of Berlin for your two-night stay.

Day 5: Berlin sightseeing & at leisure 
Today highlights of East and West are featured on your sightseeing tour including the Brandenburg Gate, Unter den Linden Boulevard, German State Opera House, Reichstag Building, Tiergarten and the shopping and entertainment district of Kurfürstendamm. The rest of the day is at leisure to discover further.

Day 6: Berlin – Dresden
Continue to Dresden – known as 'Florence on the Elbe'. On our arrival an orientation tour shows us highlights of this astonishing Renaissance city including the Opera House and Zwinger Palace. Why not take an excursion into the Elbe Valley to visit the Bastei Belvedere?

Day 7: Dresden –  Bayreuth – Nuremberg
Continue to Bayreuth where you see the Wagner Festival Theatre. Short drive to Nuremberg, once one of the most
beautiful cities in Germany. On your arrival an orientation tour will show the mighty ramparts, bustling market place and St. Sebald's Cathedral.

Day 8: Nuremberg –  Munich (2 nights)
Drive to the lovely Bavarian capital, Munich. Enjoy a guided city tour included the highlights: the Olympic Stadium, Ludwigstrasse and Marienplatz with its famous Glockenspiel Carillon.  For the 
evening we recommend a visit to the Hofbräuhaus, the world's most famous beer hall!

Day 9: Munich at leisure - optional excursion to Dachau
This day is at leisure for own sightseeing: visit some of the city's fine museums or take an optional excursion to Nymphenburg Palace. Visit the English garden and take seat in one of the atmospheric beer gardens. Optionally we offer to make an excursion to Dachau where you visit the sinister concentration camp for dreadful reminders of the horrors of World War II.  

Day 10: Munich – Oberammergau – Neuschwanstein/Füssen 
This morning drive you to the famous Passion Play village of Oberammergau. Get some time to take a look on the beautiful painted houses and the typical Bavarian atmosphere there. Continue to Neuschwanstein, mad King Ludwig's fairytale castle. Overnight stay in Füssen.

Day 11: Füssen - Baden-Baden - Black Forrest
Drive through the Allgäu to another typical German area - the Black Forrest. There you will visit the elegant city of Baden, famous for its spa and cures as well as the horse race tracks and casino. Overnight stay in Black Forrest.

Day 12: Heidelberg - Frankfurt
Today you will get to know the 'Student Prince' city of Heidelberg with its dominant castle. From here, it's only a short trip on the autobahn as you journey back to Frankfurt for the final night of your German extravaganza.

Day 13: Frankfurt – End of the Tour 
This morning after breakfast the tour ends
